Faculty of Arts and Sciences

Marmara University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, has been continue to its activities according to the Council of Higher Education’s regulations and bylaws since first established in 1982 and there are 15 departments in our faculty. Our Faculty’s language of education is Turkish, except Department of Sociology in which the language of instruction is English and also our Translation and Interpreting (English, French and German) and German Language and Literature Departments offer education in related foreign languages. For the Departments of Physics and Chemistry, English Preparatory School is compulsory and 30% of the courses are taught in English.
